A major project for Brunswick

Consisting of three buildings ranging between three and six levels, Olive York Way is the successful transformation of a former industrial site which has added 145 apartments, four townhouses and five retail outlets to the popular suburb of Brunswick West. The development includes a basement car park for residents, a street-level car park for retail customers and a designated area for bike parking. The combination of materials (brick, timber and glass) presents a contemporary fa├žade, and also provided ease in constructability.

The seamless connection with the built forms of the surrounding area is seen along Duggan Street, which was designed to mimic neighbouring three-storey buildings.

A centrally located common courtyard offers abundant space for residents to share. This was one of the first proposals to provide this level of residential amenity, and has proven to be a popular element of the development.
